What began as a one‑man operation has grown into a skilled team of four, delivering reliable electrical work and modern renewable solutions with a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and long‑term performance.
The company is owned and led by Deaglan Lightfoot, whose background in both traditional electrical work and renewable technologies forms the foundation of our approach. Deaglan began his career in 2014, enrolling in the SECTT Electrical Installation course at Borders College as a Modern Apprentice with John Rae Ltd. After achieving his SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation at SCQF Level 7, he joined Renew Green Energy Ltd in 2018, where he developed a deep passion for solar PV, battery storage, and emerging low‑carbon technologies.
After gaining experience on projects across Scotland and the wider UK, Deaglan founded DL Electrical & Renewables, bringing together his technical expertise, commitment to quality, and belief in a cleaner, more efficient future for local homes and businesses.
