DL Electrical and Renewables, established in 2022, is a trusted electrical business based in the Scottish Borders.

What began as a one-man operation has now grown into a skilled team of four, delivering a wide range of electrical services across the region. The company is owned and led by Deaglan Lightfoot, whose expertise in both traditional electrical work and renewable technologies sets the foundation for our high-quality service.

Deaglan’s journey began in 2014 when he enrolled in the SECTT Electrical Installation course at Borders College as a Modern Apprentice with local contractor John Rae Ltd. After earning his SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation at SCQF Level 7, he joined Renew Green Energy Ltd in 2018, where he developed a strong passion for renewable energy. After honing his skills on projects nationwide, Deaglan founded DL Electrical and Renewables, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for this forward-thinking business.
